SA: Car sales continue to climb
New figures show car and truck sales continued to climb in Australia last month, withthe industry heading for another record year.
The Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries says 79,521 vehicles were retailed in July.
That's 9,739 or 14 per cent more than in the same month last year.
The result brought total sales for the first seven months of 2003 to 522,724 comparedwith 476,748 over the same period in 2002.
Holden was the top selling company in July with 15,991 vehicles ahead of Toyota on 15,507.
On a year-to-date basis Toyota led the market with 107,134 units.
