Qld: Court appearance for man charged over Mother s Day murder

A man charged over the Mother's Day murder of a man in a Brisbane club last year has
been remanded to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court next week.

THI DINH NGUYEN, 18, from Bonnyrigg in Sydney's west, appeared in the Warwick Magistrates
Court charged with the murder of SON TRUONG LUU whose body was found in the toilet of
the Cypriot Club in Brisbane's West End last May.

NGUYEN was remanded in custody to face the charge in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday.





NGUYEN and 20-year-old CVONG NGO, of Villawood, have also been charged with possession
of a dangerous drug and trafficking after police allegedly found 300 grams of heroin in
their car.

They are due to appear in the Warwick Magistrates Court on June 2 for a committal mention
on the drugs charges.
